Change, unceasing change which is the very basis of life and living, is what Let Life Flow is all about. Ramesh says that life is like a deep river, flowing incessantly, whereas the day-to-day living for most people is a preference for the security and stagnancy of the little pools beside the river.
What happens in life is that the challenge is always new, but our response balseiar old because it is formed on the past, which is memory. Experiencing with memory is one state, but experiencing without memory is altogether different.

A new thought, an inspiration can happen only when the mind is not caught in the net of memory. It is only when the mind is still, tranquil, not seeking any solution, any answer, neither resisting nor avoiding, that it is capable of receiving what is true, that which is eternal, timeless, immeasurable.
You cannot go to it, it comes to you; what liberates is the truth, not your effort to be free. Ramesh uses the river as an apt metaphor for his concept that no one is a doer but, rather, all actions are happenings ordained by the One Source, who some refer to as God. To perceive ourselves as the doers is like the river thinking that it is pushing itself onwards to the sea, or the sea thinking that the tides are its own doing – totally oblivious of the fact that is the gravitational force of the moon that is responsible for their ebb and flow.
To let life flow, in general terms, means that we should go about our daily routine with a relaxed attitude, based on the total basic understanding that nothing at all can happen unless it is supposed to happen according to one’s destiny, according to the Cosmic Law. Balsekar, married to Sharda and a father of three, is known and loved by seekers from around the world as an eloquent Master of Advaita, or Non-duality. The teaching began in after Maharaj had twice directed him to talk, and since then he has written over twenty books on Advaita as well.
Ramesh is widely regarded as undeniably unique and uncompromising in his presentation of the concepts, in keeping with an early premonitory remark by Maharaj that as a teacher Ramesh would not be “parroting” the words of his Guru.
In response to the appreciation frequently shared by visitors at his talks for the singular clarity and ‘purity’ of the teaching, Ramesh himself has perhaps best expressed it with his view of the Master-disciple relationship: The purity lies in the spontaneity of the happening. The same applies to the future. Surrender to the will of God and let life flow. Ramesh is expressing the pointing to truth in a way which suits the modern age. Having ah-ha moments occurs often for me. I love Ramesh Balsekar and have tremendous respect for him. However as fate would have it, I read this book immediately and I literally mean immediately after reading Alan Watts’ book “The Wisdom of Insecurity,” only to discover that Balsekar’s book is one of the most blatant displays of modern day plagiarism I can possibly imagine going undiscovered through the publication process.
I am disappointed to have wasted my money, but perhaps more disappointing is the guilt I now have to deal with for feeling too balsekzr to notify the publisher of Alan Watts’ book or Alan Watts’ family that his excellent book has been quite literally ripped off by a revered spiritual teacher.
I haven’t read the Alan Watts’ book he is referring to, though I am now looking at the peek preview rameeh it on amazon and I honestly don’t know what he is talking about.
There is just a tremendous and instantaneously significant and recognizable difference between this book by Alan Watts and Ramesh Balsekar’s book Let Life Flow.
It is very obvious to me as to the differences and furthermore, I see no blatant plagiarism, and so I write this ‘review’ for the sake of anyone who might read the other ‘review,’ and therefore, has another perspective. Gana dinero con nosotros.
